This advertisement shows that male dominance is natural and sexy. The man is obviously being more dominant than the woman, who is acting merely as a submissive object for him to use. It presents itself as if this is the way things should be when really this is an ad for jeans and the way its presented is unnecessary.


This advertisement shows of the innocence that apparently a lot of men are into. The woman is laughing with her hand up by her face. It presents her as an innocent creature that could do no wrong, and I suppose that's some guys fantasy or something but that's weird.



This ad shows off that aspect in advertising that the woman is merely and object that only wants sex. She's on top of the male in the ad dressed in a 'naughty' manner. She is definitely presented as if the only this a woman should care about is sex, or pleasing a man.

These advertisements definitely reinforce a gender role for women. They're basically saying that the way that a 'real' woman should be is innocent, submissive, and always ready to please a man when he wants. I think this form of advertising is inappropriate and honestly it's just unnecessary. I would buy the jeans even if you didn't show me a half naked woman. The fact that an advertisement for jeans is closer to pornography than a normal ad is more uncomfortable than endearing. I think that the advertisers think that these sort of advertisements are what people want, but I think society is moving ahead and we're honestly better than this. These ads honestly take us a step back towards the days where people actually thought that the man was better than the woman, and that's a bad thing, ads should be showing people off as equals, and should just show a product rather than borderline pornography.
